Geographic Information Systems Day 2016

Throughout the week of November 14th, the GeoHIVE team contributed their time and talents to multiple GIS Day activities at accredited GIS Day event sites- Texas A&M, Northeastern University and Pennsylvania State University. During the trips, the GeoHIVE Team focused on spreading awareness about DigitalGlobe, GeoHIVE, and all of the capabilities we have to offer. GIS Day provided us with an international forum for users of geographic information systems (GIS) technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society.

Stewart Middle Magnet School

The Tampa office welcomed back students from Stewart Magnet Middle School. Stewart Middle Magnet School specializes in math, science and technology classes, with a special emphasis on aerospace and aviation. In 2003, Stewart was selected as one of the first 50 NASA Explorer Schools in the United States. The students were all a part of the John Glenn Top Gun Academy. This club is composed of students who have a special interest in aerospace and have demonstrated qualities of leadership and community service. Students apply to be accepted into this program that rewards academics, aerospace interests, initiative and leadership.
